A & H Sullivan Construction started with sawdust, custom treehouses, and a deep respect for what good woodworking can do. Before starting this company, our founder spent years building custom treehouses, learning how wood behaves, how joints hold, and how to take a client's idea and turn it into something real and lasting. That hands-on foundation shapes every project we take on today.

In 2021, we earned our contractor's license and shifted our focus to exterior carpentry and residential construction along the San Diego coast and inland communities. Since then, we've built patio covers in Encinitas, installed custom gates in Rancho Bernardo, framed additions in Poway, and set decks in Carmel Valley. Each project has added to our experience and sharpened our craft.

What sets us apart is straightforward: we do the work right, and we listen. We build with precision because a poorly fitted railing or a sagging pergola reflects on the homeowner as much as it does on us. We take time before any project starts to understand exactly what you want, then we build to that standard, not a close approximation of it.

Our services cover a wide range of exterior and interior residential work. We build patio covers, pergolas, decks, fences, gates, and sheds. We handle framing, finish carpentry, home additions, and ADUs. We also paint. Whether you're adding a covered outdoor space in Leucadia or finishing an ADU in Clairemont, we bring the same level of care to every job.
